Bodies of Four Missing Italian Divers Found Inside Maldives Sea Cave

The bodies of four Italian scuba divers who went missing last week have been located, the Maldives government said Monday.

The divers were part of a group exploring the Vaavu Atoll sea caves on Thursday when five Italians died in the incident, triggering a multinational search and recovery operation. One body was recovered the same day near the entrance of the complex underwater cave system.

Officials said the remaining four bodies were found in the deepest section of the cave. Rescue crews plan to recover two of the bodies on Tuesday and the remaining two on Wednesday.
