Mike Collins Defeats Derek Dooley in Georgia Senate Runoff

In the GOP primary runoff to take on Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff, Trump-endorsed Rep. Mike Collins defeated former football coach Derek Dooley.

Collins secured roughly 55% of the vote and will now face Ossoff in November in what is expected to be one of the most closely watched Senate races in the country. Republicans view the Georgia seat as one of their top pickup opportunities as they look to expand their Senate majority, while Democrats are rallying behind Ossoff, who is seeking a second term.
