Deadly Himalayan Floods Leave More Than 350 Dead and 1,300 Missing

A massive flood and mudslide triggered by a glacier collapse along the Nepal-China border has killed at least 350 people and left more than 1,300 others missing, according to authorities.

Rescue crews continued searching through the mud and debris Thursday as they looked for survivors following the disaster. Videos from the area showed powerful waves of water and mud sweeping through communities, destroying buildings and carrying away people.

Among those still missing are hundreds of tourists and pilgrims from more than 30 countries, including the United States. Many had traveled to the region for trekking trips or to visit a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site when the disaster struck. Source: The Weather Channel
