Kuwait Condemns Iranian Attacks After Airport Was Hit

Kuwait strongly condemned the latest Iranian missile and drone strikes, saying that Kuwait International Airport was among the civilian and vital facilities targeted in the attack.

In a statement, Kuwait's Foreign Ministry said: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the State of Kuwait's condemnation and denunciation, in the strongest terms, of the brutal and ongoing Iranian attacks using ballistic missiles and drones." The ministry added that the latest strike targeted civilian and critical infrastructure, "including Kuwait International Airport," resulting in one death, multiple injuries, and damage to vital facilities and diplomatic missions.

A spokesperson for Kuwait's Defense Ministry said a building at the airport was damaged and several people were injured during the attack, according to a statement shared by the Kuwaiti military on social media.

The latest hostilities come more than three months after the start of the conflict between the United States and Iran, fueling concerns about the war's growing impact across the Middle East.
