11 Officers Injured During Henry Nowak Murder Protests

Hundreds of people gathered in Southampton on Tuesday as protests erupted following the murder of 18-year-old student Henry Nowak.

The demonstrations come in the wake of the widely followed trial of Vickrum Digwa, a 23-year-old man who was convicted last month of killing Nowak. Prosecutors said Nowak was repeatedly stabbed while walking home from a night out with friends in December.

On Monday, Digwa was sentenced to life in prison and ordered to serve a minimum of 21 years before becoming eligible for parole.
