Rupert Grint Returning As Ron Weasley In Broadway’s ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’
Rupert Grint is returning to the world of Harry Potter, this time reprising his role as Ron Weasley on Broadway in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Grint, who played Ron throughout all eight Harry Potter films, will portray an adult version of the character when he joins the Broadway production on February 2, 2027. His run is scheduled to last 17 weeks through May 30.
"Ron Weasley has been a part of me since I was 11 years old and I can’t wait to meet him again in this stage of life," Grint said. He added that returning to the role while they are both fathers feels "so full-circle and so special," while also calling his return to Broadway "truly exciting."
Grint will become the second actor from the original film series to appear in the Broadway production. Tom Felton, who portrayed Draco Malfoy in the films, is currently starring as the adult version of his character and is scheduled to remain with the production through January 3, 2027.
