A Russian court issued an arrest warrant for Yulia Navalny on Tuesday. She is the widow of the late opposition leader Aleksei A. Navalny, who tragically passed away in February of this year while detained at a Polar Wolf prison colony near the Arctic Circle.
The arrest order alleges that Yulia Navalny was involved in an "extremist community," specifically her late husband's political and anti-corruption organization.
Aleksei Navalny had returned to Russia in 2021 after surviving a poisoning attempt in 2020, which was carried out by Russian agents.
