Andreessen Horowitz has announced it has raised another $2.2 billion for its crypto fund, bringing its total crypto capital to about $9.8 billion. The firm has been one of the most active investors in the digital asset space, continuing to double down on long-term bets despite market volatility.
The firm’s a16z Crypto arm has backed some of the industry’s biggest companies, including blockchain network Solana, decentralized exchange Uniswap, and prediction market platform Kalshi, along with other major projects across Web3, infrastructure, and decentralized finance.
The new fund will also focus on founders developing practical applications on cryptocurrency infrastructure, particularly in areas like payments and financial services.
