Son of Norway’s Crown Princess Marius Borg Høiby Sentenced in Rape Case

Marius Borg Høiby, the eldest son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, was sentenced to four years in prison on Monday after being convicted of two counts of rape and 32 other offenses. Høiby was convicted on two rape charges, along with assault and abuse in close relationships, while being acquitted on two other rape counts. The 29-year-old faced a total of 40 criminal charges, including allegations of sexual assault, assault, drug-related offenses, and restraining order violations. He was sentenced to prison and ordered to pay compensation to the victims. Høiby had denied the rape allegations but admitted to several of the lesser offenses.
