Russian Drone And Missile Attack Kills 18 In Ukraine

A wave of Russian missile and drone attacks killed at least 18 civilians and injured dozens more across Ukraine, striking both the capital, Kyiv, and the central city of Dnipro on Monday night into Tuesday morning.

The overnight bombardment prompted tens of thousands of residents to seek shelter. Kyiv Metro officials said more than 41,000 people took refuge in underground stations, the highest number recorded during a nighttime air raid alert in recent years.

According to Ukraine's military, Russia launched more than 600 drones along with dozens of missiles, including advanced hypersonic weapons. The strikes damaged critical civilian infrastructure, with five medical facilities and multiple residential and commercial buildings in Kyiv reported damaged or destroyed.
